Sangeeta Mogha is an Indian artist who works on the Intersection of Romanticism and a sub-continental sensibility uniquely shaped by the era she was raised in. She is a resident of Bangkok City since 1984.

Born and raised in Jaipur, a provincial capital in Northwestern India, her growing up years coincided with the Emergency era. The Emergency was a 21-month period in 1975-77 when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi unilaterally had a state of emergency declared across the country. Political dissent and the freedom of press were curtailed en masse, and a nation was starved of its creative aspiration.

It was then when Ms Mogha, like many others, found a refuge in British Romanticism in the picture books of the day, an art movement that found wide dissemination in India because of Colonial Rule. Her early icons were J.M.W Turner, Samuel Palmer, Joseph Wright of Derby and William Blake. This is best showcased here in her collections, 'Nature and Wild', 'Horizons',  & 'Picturebook'. All pieces are carefully prepared using studies and full-size oil sketches, her work has a striking visual impact on the viewer.

Today, her artwork adorns private residences across South Asia and Australia. Her paintings also bring character to designer boutiques.
